Captain and crew honoured for heroism

This morning Admiral Charles D. Michel of the United States Coast Guard honoured the captain and crew of MFRI research vessel Árni Friðriksson, the Isavia flight crew, and the Icelandic Coast Guard for their heroism in saving the lives of three U.S. citizens lost at see off Iceland in July 2017.
Captain Ingvi Friðriksson was awarded a Certificate of Valour. The crew of Árni Friðriksson, the Isavia crew, and the Icelandic Coast Guard received a Certificate of Public Service.
