A new webpage on sea temperature has been launched on the Marine and Freshwater Research Institute's website. The page contains a new presentation of data from sea temperature gauges that measure sea temperature in ports in various locations around the country. The goal was to make the site more accessible to the general user and to display data from active gauges in a clearer way.
You can quickly see an overview of the latest figures from sea temperature gauges and view the trend 2 weeks back in time. Some of the gauges are connected to a phone and receive data from them daily. For each location, you can then see more detailed data, averages and basic data, many years back in time.
On the comparison page, you can see a comparison of temperature figures for many locations at the same time and in different periods.
Under "Old data/eldra efni" is an older version of the page, it is also accessible at the address sjora.hafro.is. There you can find a lot of data that is not on the new page.
